Demings Hitches Her Wagon to McAuliffe’s Anti-Parent Agenda

October 14, 2021

Terry McAuliffe doesn’t think parents should be involved in what schools teach their children. Val Demings must agree with him because she swooped in to raise money for McAuliffe in the last couple weeks of his campaign for Governor of Virginia.

Eager to help a fellow far-left liberal, Demings joined a slew of radical Democrats — like Barack Obama, Stacey Abrams and Kamala Harris — to put her national fundraising profile to work to help elect McAuliffe. Demings is soliciting donations via email to split between McAuliffe’s Common Good PAC and her own campaign.

“Val Demings is hitching her wagon to one of the biggest opponents of parent involvement in education,” said Elizabeth Gregory, communications director for Marco Rubio for Senate. “At a time when parents are rightly worried about an increase in divisive and sexually-explicit material being taught in schools, Floridians deserve to know: Does Demings share McAuliffe’s belief that parents should stay out of schools?”
